I have been a customer of BT for over 50 years and 2 months ago my landline got cut off in error. It was replaced with a digital voice phone but technical problems only got resolved last Friday. I phoned on Saturday to ask for my old phone number to be re-allocated to me to be told that it had been inactive for too long and there was nothing that could be done.
There must be something please?

Hi @Siobhan8458 welcome to the community and thanks for posting, I'm sorry to see your landline was cut off in error and the problems you've had getting your number back.
There is a 30-day window after an analogue number is stopped in which we can request it to be transferred over to Digital voice. If this timeframe has passed, it is doubtful that we'll be able to get the number back.
