Switchover has caused zero broadband and zero landline

Hi,

Following the BT switchover, an engineer came round to my elderly grandparents in their 80’s to help set them up.

They left with the broadband no longer working and with zero landline.

Have phoned up twice to BT and they could not advise what to do.

We tried to arrange a second engineer to visit when a family can be there too, but this was also not possible because apparently engineers are only bookable one week in advance. We need more notice because we live in England, and my grandparents live in Scotland.

Then to have the audacity to threaten them by not returning the hubs that don’t work despite not being given a working replacement. This is cruel. They can barely leave the house. I’m not sure why the original engineer left without these anyway?

Yes, routers have been reset. The original engineer left the job without things working, so not sure what a layman could possibly do.

They have been disconnected from the world and are all alone, they need urgent and proper help please.

Re: Switchover has caused zero broadband and zero landline

I have asked forum mods who are BT employees to see if they can help.  They will post here
