assistance please

someone from helpline for my dell computer tried to phone me this afternoon but it went straight to voicemail and did not ring here beforehand, any ideas anyone please?

@polish Hi Jules, are you sure it was a genuine call? Do you have the call protect feature active on the line? 

If the number was on your personal or BT blocklist then it would have been directed straight to the junk voicemail without ringing.

Yes it was,they have tried again today, they are not on my blocked list.

 

What is the call protect feature please?
