Hi, thanks for your response. As far as I can see there is no way to switch off the main normal WiFi network. Both of my Alexa devices are showing as connected to the new compatible WiFi network. I entered the new compatible WiFi password when connecting both Alexa devices, hence why they are both showing as connected. I was always able to connect the Alexa devices to the main WiFi network, it’s just that Alexa is unresponsive. My Echo Dot is 5th generation and is meant to be dual band so connecting to the compatible network shouldn’t be necessary.
It still doesn’t work so not sure what I am going to do now. Can’t waste any more time on it. It should have been a seamless switch over from my old to new broadband router. Thanks for your help anyway.
in my SH3 when I go to wifi settings I am able to turn off either 2.4 or 5ghz or both wifi channels leaving only compatible. only difference in SH3 wifi is security is WPA3 but should be backwards compatible to WPA2 which was SH2
