Any way to maximise speeds on the Wifi Disc?

Just got BT fibre 500, when near the router my phone gets about 500 mbps, however my PC, which is across the house (my house is very small though), gets only around 230-250mbps, with the Wifi Disc.

The wifi disc says it has an excellent signal, I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do to get the full speeds? (aside from moving it, need it by my computer)

My computer is connected by ethernet cable to the disc.

Hi @FelixCore, You wouldn't get the same speed on a wifi disc that you would get via and Ethernet connection.
All the disc is doing is extending the signal from the home hub, to the location of the disc, so  you get a strong wireless signal.
Also check you device can cope with the higher speed as some devices will not work at the full connection speed.

Cheers
John

Ah, that's a shame, would I be better off getting a TP-link gigabit extender or similar?
My device can support up to 2.5 gigabits of data by ethernet.
