Re: BT Broadband down
If you have a good mobile network signal you could always get a Mobile broadband set up. Most mobile providers offer these packages. You get a Mobile router and pay a monthly fee depending on what amount of data you want and your devices connect to that router.
Another option would be to set your mobile phone, if you have one, to be a mobile hotspot and this would allow your other devices to connect to the Internet through the phone. It would however mean that you may have to increase your phone's data allowance.

Re: BT Broadband down
Thank you so much for that very helpful reply. Much appreciated.
At the moment, while Im waiting repairs, BT have set me up with a mini hub which is working fine. I assume that is what you mean? Would a permanent mini-hub be something BT would let me use permanently do you know if worst comes to worst? Do they offer such a deal?
Thanks again for very helpful reply. Im most grateful

The BT mini hub is only "turned on" when there is a problem with your broadband and it is only used until the broadband is fixed.
The other mobile broadband I was referring to are stand alone mobile broadband packages that would be used to replace a "fixed" broadband package.
BT or EE may do a mobile broadband package that you could purchase instead of your fixed line broadband when that contract ends.
