I agree, but when placing the order for Full Fibre 900 you have to choose if you want digital voice or not.
I don't want to order and pay for a phone system that I can't then use.
Its not exactly a fortune, an extra £5/m but I guess there is no point in ordering it if you aren't going to use it. Unfortunately, as things stand at the moment, it isn't possible to simply cancel DV as cancelling it also cancels the broadband contract. Crazy situation but that's BT for you 21st Century technology with 19th Century systems.
LOL.
It's only £5/m for new customers, exsisting customers appear to be forced into Pay as you go at £3/m + call charges or £10/m with calls included.
I was able to cancel my DV after I got FTTP installed earlier this year - just required a new 24 month contract. I had been under the impression that cancelling it would cease my broadband, so hadn't done so - I phoned to cancel an international call package that we'd stopped using, and the adviser asked if I just wanted to cancel the full thing, so I did.
