Dreytek 2860n setup

Hi all,

I have purchased a dreytek 2860n router for home use. I have contacted BT Support to get static IP address, subnet and default gateway details so it can talk back to BT but have not been able to assist. How can I obtain these details to complete my setup?

@TechGuyy

Only BT Business customers get a static IP address.

If you are a BT Business customer, then you will need to ask on that forum,

https://business.forums.bt.com/

This is the residential forum.

Re: Dreytek 2860n setup

I don’t fancy moving to Business BT. It’s a setup for my home for test purpose. So what other ways are there to getting dreytek working with internet?

Re: Dreytek 2860n setup

Configure the PPPoE credentials with the generic username of bthomehub@btbroadband.com and password BT.

Re: Dreytek 2860n setup

Do you have FTTC or FTTP?  Are you intending continuing using hub as well or is dreytek to replace hub.  If you have digital voice then your need to use hub

Re: Dreytek 2860n setup

I’ve tried this and it did not work.
I’ve enabled PPoE and added

username: bthomehum@btbroadband.com

password: BT
