Full Fibre installation

Go to solution

My broadband contract ends in November & I am looking to upgrade to full fibre all 3 are on my account as being offered. My phone socket is upstairs in my bedroom on an inside wall, I have had to have my router upstairs. Will I be able to get full fibre & digital phones ?

If you are able to get FTTP full fibre you can get Digital Voice phone service.

It does not matter where your phone socket is at present because FTTP does not use the phone socket.

Your router does not need to be where your phone socket is located including where it is located at present. When the engineer calls to install full fibre you can discuss with him/her as to where you want it located and if it is possible they will accommodate that for you.

The phone socket is redundant when you get Digital Voice via FTTP and is not used.  Digital Voice uses your broadband connection not the "old" copper phone lines.
