Being pedantic, but the length and type of cable between the ONT and router doesn’t affect the ‘fibre signal strength’ as that’s the incoming side of the modem / ONT , the cable to the router is outgoing side , so it has no effect at all on the incoming side , the outgoing side isn’t ‘fibre’ .
