A curious question for anyone that has an answer.
I have three Smart Hub 2’s. (Don’t ask how I ended up with three, it’s a long story). When I reboot, I rotate them. (Might as well keep them all up to date). The thing is, two of them connect to DV without a problem, the third refuses to connect to DV even though it is fine in every other respect. So, couple of questions:
Anyone any ideas?
are they all on same firmware or is one with problem on old firmware
I'm assuming you're using one at a time (not sure why you are rotating them)?
The software inside the smart hub 2 has a sip client that registers with BT's main digital voice gateway - I'm presuming the client is configured by the remote management system.
It could be the one that doesn't connect to BT's digital voice gateway has not been configured or the configuration pushed to it.
The one with the problem was the first to update to v.41 The other two are now both on v.41 and connecting with no problem.
Have you tried resetting it? May force the remote management system to push the latest configuration to it. May also take 24hrs based on how often the automatic processes start and complete.
@jac_95 Yes, one at a time. I wouldn’t expect simultaneous connection to work.
It doesn’t look like the configuration has been pushed to it. Yes, has been reset. When I say rotating them, it’s only when new firmware comes out. They don’t need rotating as such, just curiosity and me keeping the firmware up to date on all of them.
