Lost 'Smart TV' functionality

Hi, we've recently signed up to BT TV Box pro, however, our TV seems to have lost it's 'Smart TV' functionality.

For some reason it can't find the wifi (wireless) network & we're struggling to establish which cables to use & where they go ?

Any advise would be appreciated.

Re: Lost 'Smart TV' functionality

You will either need a cable from your TV to your router, using one of the LAN sockets, or if your TV supports it, connect via WiFi

@stevesim  Can you see the wifi using your mobile phone or a tablet?

Just to double check any possible confusion, are you saying you can't find a WiFi option in your TV settings, or you can find it but nothing happens when you try to use it?

Re: Lost 'Smart TV' functionality

Hi, the TV doesn't show a wifi option to connect to.
Howevere, we've managed to connect an ethernet cable to TV & back of router & that seems to work now.
Maybe we should just disregard trying to connect by wifi ??

Has the TV ever been connected to WiFi?

What make & model is it?

Our WiFi enabled TVs are both connected via an Ethernet cable.

Ok, so you have a WiFi option in the TV settings network menu but that option doesn't find a WiFi signal.
