Have you tried disconnecting the USB hard drive it could be on it's way out
Hi. I have had many BT boxes and sadly they all suffered from locking up. I now have a BT pro box which has bee replaced because locking up so does new one. It is a known issue which does not appear to be one they can resolve or not enough people responding to make it a need to find the problem Malcolm

You are posting on the wrong thread, you need to find the one that deals with TV boxes locking up. This is a home hub issue.
