Retention of settings changes

If you changes settings on a router and power it down and unplug how long are those settings retained?

Are they retained as if they were factory settings till the device is reset or after a prolonged period they are lost?

They are saved until you change them or until there is a factory reset. An update may also change them depending on what the update includes.

If the hub is powered off they will be retained until/unless one of the above happens when it's powered back on.
