I'm really confused and would welcome some advice about my new SMART HUB 2.
Do I need a certain type of phone to make things work properly ?
I currently have a BT 4600 phone, which people are calling but which are not always coming through.
My computer is working fine it's just the phone that is a real problem.

Have you moved to Digital Voice?
If so try plugging the phone into the green phone port on back of the smart hub
I think we have moved to digital voice.
I've put the phone into the back of the router.
Tbh I feel a bit stupid but I can't understand how this all works.
Did that work after you plugged the phone into the green phone port on the back of the smart hub ?
If not you can check to see if your digital voice service is configured in your smart hub by going to: http://192.168.1.254
Then check to see if the phone bit is showing your number or if it's shown as not configured - see image below (I've highlighted the bit to look at in red box)
