Re: Smart Hub 2 and Bridge Mode

Ah, fair enough.  Just tweaked my interest as the last time I saw that mask used was in a school I spent some months doing tech support for.  Big place.  They had over 500 workstations and so were using that mask.

Re: Smart Hub 2 and Bridge Mode

Hi Forum,

MAJOR problems with buffering & dropouts. Drove me bonkers ! (on home essentials 36Mbps 18 guaranteed )

So AI told me get a better router.

Now i find, cant use Asus RT AX58u V2 stanalone, whilst retaining landline.

BT tell me only Business Router can use bridge mode. ( im not Bus.)

I think i nearly managed to set SH2 for phone only, and Asus advantages to do all the IP & routing.

Had SH2 on cable from ONT box, then SH2 Lan out to Asus Wan in.  Internet light on Asus went off (and pinged) but wouldnt open webpages. AI says problem is duplicate NAT issue.

But I spent 2 days on this, so now asking humans . . .

Can anyone shine a light ?

Bridge mode wouldn't help in any case, VoIP won't work without access to the IP later which won't be available in bridge mode.

AI (as usual) us talking nonsense about double (not duplicate) NAT being the issue.

Did you follow the method posted in message16.
