Smarthub 2 Event log entries

Go to solution

I have just changed from a Tp Link router to a Smarthub 2.  This morning my daughter was on a Teams meeting for her work and the call disconnected twice in the space of a couple of minutes and reconnected aitself again.  the Event Log has the following entries:

Does anyone know if this is a Smarthub problem of a Teams thing?

Thanks in adavance

Mike

@dikul

That just looks like wireless disconnects, perhaps the Smart Hub keeps changing channel?

Try turning "smart wireless" off, and manually selecting a wireless channel.

Another option would be to connect her laptop to the home hub, using an Ethernet cable, eliminating the wireless problem.

Thanks Keith,

I thought that it might be a wireless problem.  If I cannot figure an easy way to provide a wired connection I may go back to the Tp-Link router and await the  Digital Voice switch over and worry about  whether to bother with the Samrthub at that point.

You may like to try powerline adapters.

https://shop.bt.com/products/tp-link-av600-passthrough-powerline-kit-tl-pa4022p-kit-FTN7.html

They use the mains wiring to carry an Ethernet connection.

There are other models to choose from.

Well my thanks to both of you.  I bought a couple of TP-Link power adaptors, with the added bonus that the second one also act as a wifi extender - so far so good.

I will await Digital Voice with a little more condfidence if this set up works well with the Smart hub, otherwise it's back to the trusty Archer AC2100 and no landline.
