In that case, there must be a master socket somewhere. The same connection setup applies but the router connects to the master socket via the DSL port. The WAN port is not used.
from your post there is no FTTP available to you only FTTC. you need to try and trace where the incoming black cable ends up and if connected to anything
Thanks will look again but is a mystery.
When was the activation date? If that has passed it may be worth connecting a computer to the switch to see if there's anything live. Or scan for existing WiFi network just in case a Hub has been boxed in somewhere. Does the switch & wiring look new? If not it could be left over from whatever was there pre-refurb.
Among you documents from your solicitor should be a schedule of fixtures & fittings. Maybe see if anything relevant is listed there. It's possible the master socket was removed during the refurb & not replaced.
already has SH2 connected to switch according to initial post
If the place has been refurbished and the OP has looked but can’t find an Openreach master socket it’s a reasonable assumption that it’s been removed part of the refurbishment ….if the property is similar to the surrounding ones , and serviced underground, check to see if where the underground cable surfaces, or if overhead , does a wire from the pole exist .
If the property had service previously , which was removed during the refurbishment then obviously neither the ISP or Openreach will be aware of this and the ( self install ) order will proceed without any chance of success, the OP either needs to report a fault , wait and hope the service is picked up by Openreach as not working ( an ELF early life failure ) or look to reinstate whatever the developer removed
FWIW , there was never any evidence or suggestion that FTTP was available, yet the thread went off on a bit of a FTTP tangent.
