Re: Wifi 7 hub ?

Old news...that was the intention but was abandoned a few months back.  BT will continue selling broadband.  Odd though why they persist with the industry lagging wifi 5 SH2 when they could easily rebrand both the EE 6/7 router's

Re: Wifi 7 hub ?

In fact, I've been watching the EE forum for a couple of years now, (under a different name).  All is not well, I would say.  Very high volume of unhappy people posting.  (And that's allowing for the fact that a lot of people only post when they want to moan).

(The EE router comes in for a fair bit of stick as well).

Re: Wifi 7 hub ?

I'm guessing that "guy"  was from customer services.  Historically they are at worst deceitful but mostly they are the last to know of any changes.

WSH I was also put off changing my SH2 due to the relentless negatively towards the EE wifi 6 router but I chanced it and bought one from Ebay. It's literally perfect giving me over my 500mbps and strong signal all over the house/garden.

Re: Wifi 7 hub ?

Fair enough.  I'm on a lot of forums, so I must admit I can get a bit confused at times.  I'm not sure if it was the EE router or Sky's latest that can only be configured via a phone app.  I will say, that's a big negative in my view.

Re: Wifi 7 hub ?

Well it is all getting very confusing now, I think its prudent to stay with BT for now until things calm down a bit, the service is perfectly good anyway, I only wanted to switch if it was better.

Just need BT to bring out a new super fast hub

Re: Wifi 7 hub ?

The new CEO had scuppered that ethos and had said that residential customer can stay with BT

"Tell that to the guy that told me I can't renew on bt and have to go to EE."

If that guy was a BT telephone agent, he'll be on commission to move you to EE and sell you a more expensive deal. So he'll say anything to persuade you to move.
