Xbox Fortnite performance lag

My son has an Xbox One, and we have BT home hub. We generally have around 20Mb of bandwidth, which I though should be sufficient for his gaming, particularly when nobody else in the house is really using the internet, However, he complains that he has 300-1000 ping on Fornite, which makes it very laggy. When I run a speed test all seems fine, and there is no major delay. I there anything I can do to the router configuration to make it perform better?

ok just make sure you use eu servers in his settings if you play with usa servers you will have a lag that big

just saying usa is around 300+ in ping which is unplayable making a change in settings in fortnite from usa to eu server can make a dif you can't change anything in router configuration to make it perform better if its a bt hub ask your son to change the settings to eu will put it around lower then he is getting now
