It might be worth trying to install a dhcp service on your PC and disable the one on the SH2 (just whilst testing). If the Bridge cannot successfully be configured using the PC dhcp server that would suggest the BT Hub is not the problem but the Tado bridge has an issue.

I guess the other thing would be:

You've not Set up the TADO in TBR mode (Thread Boarder Router), as you'd need IPv6 for this to work, which I don't think the SH2 does!

Thanks, just received a smart hub 2 and was having this issue, disabling the 5ghz WiFi enabled the tado bridge to connect. Thanks

Let us know how the Tado bridge mode works now.  It used to be a hot mess with the hub working (if you set it up as a bridge) as crippled matter/Thread Border Router (TBR) reliant.  As a TBR it used a full IPv6 stack, including the need for IPv6 DNS - they didn't use to work properly with IPv6 DNS via IPv4 DNS servers.  I believe the issue with multiple TBRs on a network has been fixed.
*Does the SH2 now advertise a local IPv6 DNS proxy, and not just IPv6 DNS over IPv4.

No, just IPv6 DNS via IPv4 DNS servers
