Whats the point to the bt tv app when you cant watch anything even when its advertising you can watch live tv on the go or when you cant agree on somthing to watch but when i was watching somthing my girlfriend wanted to watch somthing else so i switched to the app and it told me watch on the tv with every channel. the adverts are very misleading and border line false advertising it just seems like an extension bt sports i know you can watch on demand stuff but when you already have other apps sutch as Netflix and nowtv  why do you need the bt tv app as i dont think anyone watches amc as its the only thing available as well as two or three bt sports channels. Witch you can get on bt tv sports anyway. I really do feel like I have been well and truly conned after I was told a sign up you  could total wast of 15 days of my life on the phone to bt about it all.

At its peak, the BT TV app had over 50 channels available to watch in the app.

With the introduction of the Now TV subscription packages, those channels are watchable in the Now TV app instead.

The last of the old subscription packages ended recently, leaving just AMC and BT Sport in the app.

The Freeview channels have never been available in the app - it has only ever included channels that you're paying BT for.

But that is all at it's peek So there is no point in having the bt tv app then just now tv and Netflix. then all the adverts are wrong. should not be advertising that you can and staff should not be telling customers  that you can still watch live tv. Even some staff said nothing makes sense and that it is all very misleading.

The BT TV app can still be used to watch some live TV channels, and it is still required to watch all the other BT TV content including rentals and purchases.

It can also be used to remotely schedule recordings on your BT TV box as well as see what's scheduled and delete recordings from the box.

We can't get rid of the app. Sorry that you're finding the advertising to be misleading though.

At this moment in time  the BT TV App also allows live viewing of the Eurosport 1 and 2 channels and has some Eurosport catchup  for those taking BIG Sport or VIP packages. Whether that will  change  in the next few months is unclear if BT Sport customers get access to Discovery Plus.

The BT TV App also allows downloads of available catchup/on demand content to certain mobile devices for later viewing (subject to expiry dates).

The BT Tv App typically avoids spoilers which can be advantageous for some sports fans although you may get higher quality viewing via Bt Sport App .
