Pausing Live Sport on the BT App

I can watch, record, pause and rewind live sport when using the BT TV box. However, when using the online App on a PC, I can only watch in real time without the ability to pause or rewind. Afterwards, you can not watch a full re-run of events, usually only edited highlights.

The Amazon Video App (available on BT TV) has the ability to pause live games, and watch a full re-run of events. Also, the SKY TV box is very versatile in being able to watch, record, pause, rewind and fast-forward live TV.

When watching live sport either on my PC or via the BT TV Sport app on a smart TV, why can't we have the same features? It is very limiting not being able to pause or record via the BT Sport App, and means that users have to watch the games live in order to enjoy them, and this is not always convenient.

When on your BT TV box, it's recording the match to the hard drive in the box - this is how you're able to pause and rewind. This isn't a practical option for other devices.
We do offer pause and rewind on events, as long as you select the specific event from any screen other than the "Channels" or "Live" screens - if you play the channel, it cannot be rewound. If you play the event, you can watch from the beginning of that event.

As for replays - most content is available on replay. If it's not there, it means we don't have the rights to it.

Actually @bonzothecat  the prime video app on  BT TV /Youview  Boxes. does not support  Pause,Rewind  and fast-forward of live TV  for its live sport.   Some other devices do.

Indeed. While I can chase-play live coverage from Prime Video on my phone or tablet I have to second-screen it from my laptop over an HDMI cable if I want to chase-play while watching on my main TV. Casting a Prime Video live stream does not let you chase-play.
