@remecraftsman I certainly don't deny that speaking to retentions can have a positive outcome. I've only spoken to BT Retentions once and that was enough for me. I got what I wanted, but only after spending almost 20 minutes of my life talking to some script reading CS rep who just kept talking over me for most of the conversation. I have no desire to repeat that hence why I no longer bother to call Retentions. There's nothing petulant about that. The very fact that companies have a retentions department in the first instance proves that they don't offer their customers the very best deals immediately up front, otherwise the very first CS rep you speak to would give you what retentions offer. It's all smoke and mirrors.
Hey at least BT don't have a winback department for customers who have actually cancelled, tells me all about that company & policies
