It is the You View recordable G4 box model no. 91-00438. EE TV boxes | Compare the different boxes we offer | BT Help The middle one. Not sure how old it is but we have been with BT for a long long time. I am guessing the box is easily 10+ years old
@janets1 thanhs for confirming I thought that might be the case.
There are EPG data and it seems broacaster issues over the past months that could cause some issues similar to what you have described.
However the repeated issues with the G4 recordable box itself would also impact its ability to record successfully partiularly if those recordings were from a standby state or in progress when the box freezed.
I suggest reporting the TV box problems emphasising the duration of the unreliability and its implact on your paid Sports subscription.
Given the age of that box I would be suprised if Bt didn't simply arrange a newer loan box for you to continue your viewing on. Assuming the box is deemed faulty there should be no charge for a new loan box and they should not require you to extend or enter a new contract term.
Post back if BT do not adopy that approach.
Seperately due to the further withdrawal of apps such as Netflix on that range of boxes EETV should be contacted some customers to replace them.
