I have BT Virus Protect which has been running happily for some time. However my PC has slowed down considerably of late & checking on Task Manager I find that Windows Defender is also running. I am able to stop real time checking of Defender but on reboot it restarts. I cannot find a way or stopping Wndows Defender, having trawled Google the answer seems to be that any new third party AV should turn off defender but my system still ahs it running. Have checked task Manager & am unable to stop it from there. Any ideas?
