Can't update from McAfee to Norton

Hi I’m afraid it seems they don’t really know what is happening so blame it on your equipment told me I was the only one that’s having a problem till I said not according to bt form  hopefully someone on here can help you

Hi thanks for letting us know this wish I’d seen it yesterday as the bt guy I spoke to said it was a fault on my iPad and I  should get in touch with the manufacturer

Have finally manage to update to Norton in 10mins as it toke a few mins to uninstall McAfee and so far I'm not to impressed with it.

Gone is the the file shredder that I sometimes used with McAfee.

Ney, do you have SSD or HDD that you were using the Shredder on?

HP laptop is now a few years old. Running Windows 10.

Switch to Norton Button does not appear.

Thank you. This is the best response so far. We can wait for a few weeks. I have so far spent all day trying to find remaining files of McAfee in Applications or Library but no joy.

How did you do it?

Two days spent on trying to install Norton. McFee deleted. All other McFee files from Application and Library deleted. Trash bin emptied. Computer restarted. 
Norton refuses to instal. Says McFee is preventing install.
