This fix doesn't work for me.
I am the account holder. When I click on the 'switch to Norton' button on the Mac OS Monterey, still get the..
Mac is clean, never had the cruddy McAfee product on it.
I wouldn't normally bother with this but my elderly father wants to install it and I said I would check it out first. This is disappointingly rubbish.
Just made formal complaint to BT as I am getting nowhere! Good luck.
Yes, that's another thing - "letter". I've just received that letter, 5 days after updating to Norton. Why is BT (an ISP) wasting money and paper sending out letters about this? Why not an Email like every other communication? And would it be beyond the wit of man to write a simple program to exclude those who have already made the switch?
Just had letter to update to Norton. Tried to manage security settings to update BT Virus Protect to Norton via MyBT. Just get the message 'The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.'
Just had my letter today, also.
Glad I checked here first. Clearly it's the same old story with 'upgrades'. I was perfectly happy with the old arrangement, but won't be bothering to waste any time on this until I see something here that suggests the numerous issues have been fixed. And even then, as someone else has already posted, the GUI and features will be very poor.
Same problem.
I log in to My BT, there is a large yellow banner telling me I must update to Norton.
There is no option for Norton in the security section.
If I click the virus option it just give me a server error.
This has been going on for weeks.
This solution does not work.
There is no option to choose 'Norton'.
Hi @jbuzza and thanks for posting.
Sorry you're having problems switching over to the Norton. I suspect the reason you're having problems is because your BT ID is just a name rather than an e-mail address. You need to rename the BT ID to an e-mail address.
To do this go to My BT > Personal Details. You'll need to access the email to validate the link sent to you.
Cheers
David
