Seven years ago I tried to move to BT but the move was such a shambles that I registered on the BT Community Forum in desperation to try and get some help as all other avenues were not working. Ultimately I cancelled my order and went with an alternative provider. So since posting those 2 desperate messages on the forum 7 years ago I have had no dealings with BT.

Yesterday I received a spam email from BT about my profile on the forum and upon investigation it seems that my account was not actually deleted at the time I cancelled the move. So you have retained my personal data in the intervening period, despite the fact that I ceased all dealings with BT 7 years ago and never actually became a customer.

Please cancel my account  and profile with immediate effect and delete all personal data in relation to it.
