Do i need to wait for the engineer visit ?

Go to solution

Hello.

My activation date was supposed to be today, but i just got an update that engineer has been booked for 30th of...April.  That's over 2 months away, the building im in is an ex-office and it already has FTTP and BT's modem box installed, will engineer install something else or there is a chance for BT to flip the switch remotely and turn the line on anytime between now and the visit ?

Thats kinda crazy that im gonna have to wait over 2 months to get online given that i picked the provider that owns the line.

If its an ex-office, then it may have been an optical megastream service. Can you take a picture of the equipment?

The line is disconnected, hence the LOS light being lit.

You would also need the BT Smart Hub 2 to be delivered.

You already have an existing thread https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Fibre-broadband/Am-I-connecting-router-correctly/m-p/2142162#M322810
