Re: Fingers crossed!

Getting there... the internal box is quite different to what I was expecting.  It's tiny.

However performs amazing for gig service.

Re: Fingers crossed!

Yes the engineer said it performs well.

Another cheeky picture for anybody interested, the box outside.

Re: Fingers crossed!

All done!

Looking at the BT app speed test, I assume my upload is capped, and the download is brilliant, but not quite the 900.

Is this something that will change?

Re: Fingers crossed!

Looking good so far!

Not sure if you have any wired devices, but I tend to use fast.com for speed tests (they also have an App).

I get nowhere near what you're getting over wifi but on a wired connection (my main PC) I get a solid 900/110 all day, everyday.

Maybe the Hub needs an automatic firmware update to remove any sort of upload cap.

Re: Fingers crossed!

I doubt your download will improve over wireless. Do you not have a wired device to test with? Upload should be better though.

Re: Fingers crossed!

Wired is 890down 10up, so clearly an issue with upload.

Re: Fingers crossed!

What router are you using? i assume with those download speeds with wifi you are using wifi6 (on your first screenshot)

and yes 10MB upload does indicate their is problem, normally its capped to 50Mb so anything below that is odd.

Have you powered down the ONT and router to see whether that fixes the problem?

router firmware updated etc?

Also if you are using 3rd party router have you tried re-plugging your homehub back on to see whether upload speeds correct themselves.

If all fails mods should be able to help.

Re: Fingers crossed!

@TorquayMarcWhat happens if you try a direct PPPoE connection from wired device to the ONT ruling our a hub problem?
