I have had my Halo upgraded and an EE booster installed and now the IP address on the hub keeps changing so I can't connect to my work remote and work from home. This is causing me so much stress as I do the payroll. How can I stop this from happening?
BT Residential accounts uses dynamic public IP addresses which can change whenever there is a disconnection or network change. So if your employer requires the same IP address from your connection, then that is going to present a problem.
Only BT Business accounts can have a static IP address, so if you intend to work from home all of the time, then perhaps your employer will provide a BT Business account with a static IP address.
