Termination charge
My contract is up at the beginning of February and I intend to leave bt due to costs and not wanting to be tied to a long contract. I have viewed my "next bill" and it has a termination charge of £12(?). Can someone explain why this is on there as I have not informed by that I am going to leave yet and I am not leaving my contract early so I do not understand why there is a termination charge

Re: Termination charge
Hi @SteveThePirate You don’t inform BT that you are leaving as it only complicates things. Your new provider does that.

Re: Termination charge
Call BT 0800.800.150 and ask for Billing who should be able to help.

Re: Termination charge
Hi @SteveThePirate,
Thank you for posting. I'm sorry to hear that you are thinking of leaving BT.
The termination charge is normally raised when a restriction has been placed on the line. You can find out more here - Termination Charge
Thanks,
Paddy
