Fibre

My immediate neighbours have active FTTP, but my property is missing from the database. I need BT to raise an ORDI

Re: Fibre

have you tried contacting openreach and see if they will update their data base.  make sure you add that immediate neighbour can get FTTP   https://www.openreach.com/forms/fibre-broadband-availability---customer-form

are you currently a BT broadband customer?

enter your address and post results including notes

Re: Fibre

As stated , this has nothing to do with BT if BT are not your provider, they are not the industry problem solver for customers of competitor companies, plus arguably an ORDI isn’t the correct way to correct address issues ( especially if your address  is recorded on Openreach exactly as it’s recorded on the Royal Mail postcode checker , in that case  an ORDI won’t help )

Although it would be pretty unusual for immediate neighbours to have different network availability , there has to be a boundary somewhere, and occasionally it will between neighbouring properties , one inside a PON (passive optical network) area and the other outside that PON , even next door neighbours if in detached houses , can be in the situation where one can get FTTP and one can’t , especially if served underground, as the duct feeding one could come from one direction and therefore within the PON area , the other property fed from a different direction and that is associated with a different PON that hasn’t been built yet , and as duct is underground you can’t know which direction it’s coming from .

Thats not to say this is your situation, just that it’s not necessarily an error you not having FTTP available.
