Full Fibre 500 to Full Fibre 900

Go to solution

Just upgraded from Full Fibre 500 to Full Fibre 900.  After 2 days speed is averaging 500.  Does it take a while to come up to the guarranteed speed?  Around 700 I think.

Have you tried power cycling the ONT, it worked for me when I went from 500 to 900 but it may have just been a coincidence.

@tmarsh12345 are you using a wired connection for these speedtests or are you using WiFi?

Note: You won't get full 900mb speeds using WiFi on the smarthub 2.

The ONT is the fibre modem which you have connected to the hub probably with the red ended ethernet cable. Small white box with probably 3 green !ights

Did that but still just over 500.  Upload is averaging 115 which is about right I think.

I have always used Thinkbroadband for speed testing and just tried a different site, getting just under 700, 670 - 690 so perhaps nothing wrong?
