Further to my previous posts, have just collared an Open Reach guy that was installing full fibre to a house across the road. I asked about where the box needs to plugged in. He said an extension lead is fine, it just needs power. He suggested where the cable could run to get it to the box room. That set my mind at ease somewhat.
