Re: BT Halo

Unless you have a great need for Halo I would advise against getting it. It is an expensive add on that most people have no need for it.

Most of what it offers are already part of your present broadband package.

It might only be £1 to "upgrade" but the renewal cost will no doubt be more.

Re: BT Halo

You should research what Halo 3 offers (it’s not the same as Halo 3+) and if the benefits are actually worth it to you .

https://www.bt.com/halo

FWIW , it supposedly comes with an engineer home visit to check/setup your equipment but anecdotally this seems tricky to arrange , the Halo 3+ benefit seems the one people seem to regret taking (difficult to remove once you have it ) and the price promise (the guarantee not to pay more than a new customer) is for new customers also taking Halo , so people see the new customer offers on the website are lower priced (and complain about the so-called guarantee, but that’s because new customer prices don’t include Halo .

Double data could be a worthwhile benefit if on a limited data mobile contract with EE/BT

yeah I’m not fused about the halo 3+ at all.

just double data.

just don’t know how true that statement is. Add from as little as £1 pm.

Supposed double data or otherwise, you’d be better off I suspect accepting the advice you’ve already been given and don’t bother. If you’re not convinced about how tricky it is to get out of Halo once you decide you no longer want it, just do a search on this forum about Halo and then give yourself a week of 24 hour reading to get an idea.
