I am currently being charged £54.22 for broadband/landline. The speed of 16mb is very poor and the service does not always reach that level. The best deal BT can offer me because I am a current customer is £1 off!! This is derisory. BT will not let me contract to a cheaper contract because of my customer status- although I am out of contract. I am now considering an alternative broadband supplier. This is extortionate pricing for the speed of my broadband.

I suspect you've been speaking to the wrong department, try ringing the retentions team on 0800800030 and you may get a better deal
