Compensation for late activation ?

Go to solution

Just been wondering what level of compensation people have been receiving for late activation on their FTTP and is their a max limit ?

I am currently at 50 days since supposed activation and no further forward with an actual date.

Have a read of BT's policy of Automatic Compensation and at the time of writing this, there's no maximum.

  • If we don’t activate landline or broadband on the day we promised, you’ll receive £5.25 compensation automatically
  • Plus you’ll receive another £5.25 for every extra day you have to wait, not including the day your service is activated
  • You are eligible for compensation if your service isn’t activated by one minute to midnight on the activation date we sent by email or post.

To class as late activation, it's from the date BT confirmed the services would go live, typically sent by email unless you opted for letter confirmation.
