Deceased Father

Hallo, I'm upset and disgruntled and astounded at the (mis)communication in trying to navigate managing my deceased father's landline and internet connections. I have done the online bereavement form, I have had the call (from a nice lady) I have discussed the management of the said situation, I thought I knew where I stood, but then ........ texts telling me the phone bill is due (this was not what was discussed with the nice lady). I am under no legal obligation to pay my deceased father's bill, as you well know. I have made it clear that the money is there for payment - I was never informed that you would send me texts like this. I spent around 40 minutes last Tuesday - your hold music to the bereavement department was of the rave style (WTF), I explained the situation AGAIN and made it clear that I would prefer that you dealt with the solicitor over this, I passed the contact details on - I then received an email to my email address that afternoon, directly addressed to my father - for goodness sake which bit of he is dead is not being communicated to you - but the icing on the cake is today's email, which stated that services to the following address will be terminated - the address you stated was my solicitor's address - what on earth is going on - you are supposed to be a communications company..........

thank goodness my communication provider is elsewhere..........

Re: Deceased Father

Hi @annie58,

Thank you for posting. I'm sorry to read about the loss of your Father, I know this must be a difficult time for you and your family. I am sorry if the bereavement hasn't been handled correctly and for any distress this has caused you and your family. If you send me the details, I'll be able to take a look at the account to make sure everything is handled correctly.

I have sent you a private message with instructions on how to contact the team.  You can access your messages via the envelope icon at the top right of the screen, or click on this link, Private messages

Thanks,

Paddy

Re: Deceased Father

You are still sending demands for bill payment to my dead father - please contact the solicitor  (I have asked many times for you to do this) - the solicitor is in charge of the money - stop harassing me over this and for goodness sakes stop sending my poor dead father demands for payment.

Re: Deceased Father

There is no point in posting on the forum, your posts aren't going to BT. Did you reply to the PM from @PaddyB ? If so just ignore everything else and wait for the mods to take action
