Game Pass Redemption Issue!

I have just signed up for BT Broadband and received the free 12 month xbox game pass ultimate subscription.

The issue i have is that I already have xbox game pass ultimate on my account and its paid up until July 2026.

So i thought ok, i am sure i can just add/stack this to my existing subscription and it will expire even later.

Unfortunately this has not worked out how i thought, it has reverted my existing account to "Managed By BT/EE" and set the expiry to 02/02/2025!

So I have spoken to microsoft and unfortunately its not quite clear how this is working or effects my older details and original expiration date.

They have told me my account still shows as expiring in July 2026, but as BT redeem a 30 day code every month this will get added on each month, so in theory my account wont expire until August 2027 by the time the BT subscription ends. However i cannot see this, all i see is the BT expiration date of 02/02/2025.

Can anyone clarify this, anyone had the same issue?

I can only hope when the contract with BT expires in Feb 2025, it reverts back to my old account details and shows the 12 months they have added on top!

Welcome and thanks for your post!

I am sorry for the confusion around adding your Xbox offer with us, to your existing subscription. For clarity, the free months as part of your offer with us, will stack on top of your existing subscription.  Therefore, once the pass ends with us, you'll still have what you had before taking the offer.  Everything renews monthly with us until the end of the offer period.
