Have decided to move from BT FTTC to Sky FTTC

Go to solution

BT earlier in the month offered my a sort of good deal to stay with them after I had been looking elsewhere  but I had decided after reading on here to wait  till 1st March to maybe renew to avoid the 31st March price rise but BT offers/deals changed at the weekend just gone.
As if I want to stay and FTTC up to 66mb speeds I how have to pay £2.50 extra thats not to big an increase but if I want the basic Halo 3 thats now go gone up from the original offer of £6 extra a month to £8.50 a month. This would take my monthly bill to just over £34 a month and if I renew now I would still have the BT price rise on top of that.
My BT FTTC contract ends at the end of this week.

So have decided after just over  20 years of  being a BT broadband customer and even long with a BT phone that was in dads name have started the move to Sky for a similar package a few days ago.

So much for BT looking after long serving and loyal customers.

@ney

Did you speak to the Options team on 0800 800030?

Always worth a try.

Re: Have decided to move from BT FTTC to Sky FTTC

Im due to move to Sky for FTTC in 8 days and my BT FTTC contract ended the day.

Anyone know when my final bill from BT will be.

Dont pay BT by Direct Debit but pay almost weekly via the BT app using Apple Pay and get a bill every 3 months. My last bill was on 17th  January and from then to 17th April when my BT bill was due to be payed again.

Looking at my BT account im just over a months bill in credit on my account for my BT FTTC. This is taking in to account the £6 a month extra I now have to pay for being out of contract.

Hi @neyYour final bill should of been generated 7 days after the service is switched to your new provider. If you've BT Sport on Sky or a BT mobile service your account would remain open for those services won't be cancelled as part of the transfer.

Cheers

John
