My mother in law has moved into nursing residential care from hospital.

Go to solution

My mother in law lived a flat and went into hospital in May last year. She was seriously ill. As she recovered the hope was she may go back into her flat. Unfortunately this is not the case and she has now gone into full-time residential nursing care. She does not have the mental capacity to deal with things so I am trying to close her account. POA will take a minimum of 16 weeks. Can someone help??

I have asked mods who are BT employees to see if they can help but may be a problem without POA

Mods will post here

Hi @sarahjane0801

Welcome and thanks for your post!

I am sorry you're having problems canceling your Mother-in-law's account.  I understand she has now moved into full time nursing care.  I have sent you a private message with instructions on how you can send us over your details and we'll look into this for you. See: Private messages

Thanks,

Robbie

I just would like to say a huge thankyou to the team who made contact with me. My issue has been dealt with quickly but also with a feeling of understanding and empathy. This has been really appreciated during a very difficult time for the family. 5 ️ customer service.

Hi @sarahjane0801

Thank you for posting back!

I am really pleased we could help get everything sorted for you.  Whilst I would be more than happy to take the credit - it wasn't me personally who picked up your case.

I'll be sure to pass your comments to my colleague's team leader to recognise them for a job well done 😊

Take care,

Robbie
