Returns bags.

Hello all.

I've today received 2 bags to return equipment.

Router and a pro tv box. (Presume a bag for each)

However, there is no protection for the devices at all. I don't want the stuff to be damaged. I contacted BT via chat and they said the post office is responsible for the protection and they will package the devices. (Again after scanning )

I'm very uncertain that this is correct?

Can anyone advise 🙏

Re: Returns bags.

Just send them back in the bags provided.

If they are damaged in transit it is not your problem.  BT would have to prove that they were damaged prior to going into the postal system if they wanted to say they were damaged before you sent them back and I doubt they would be able to do that let alone bother trying to do that.

Re: Returns bags.

Thanks. I've since searched and found older posts saying similar.
It seems like such a waste, I can't imagine these devices arriving back unbroken.

Re: Returns bags.

If they are damaged they will be broken down and the parts recycled.

Re: Returns bags.

To be honest, I thought that's what they were doing, as the white bags offer absolutely no protection.  I just wanted to try and find out.
