I had a fair chunk of Xbox GPU stacked with Microsoft prior to us getting Fibre 150 around November 21 and then consequently upgrading to Fibre 500 in March 22 which I received 6 months of free Xbox GPU with from BT.
It appears that the free 6 month period kicked in immediately after me redeeming/activating it at the time and expired in September 22, so my subscription reverted back to what I had stacked before that which finally expired on Saturday (04/02/22)
The very major issue I'm experiencing right now is that although I've not been with BT for my Xbox GPU for 5 months I am still unable to manage it from Microsoft. I'm not able to add any pre-paid codes from elsewhere either because when I click 'manage subscription' on my Microsoft Xbox GPU page it just pings me straight to EE, NOT to My BT even though I don't have any EE accounts 😒
I've noticed this issue has been going on for as long as BT have been giving customers the option of adding Xbox GPU to their contract, be it a set freebie period with fibre packages or as a rolling monthly add-on to bills.
All I want is to manage my Xbox subscriptions through Microsoft like I have done for 10 years rather than through BT, I can't believe this still be happening after the length of time it's been going on for with so many other BT customers!
I've spent the last 3 hours on the phone to various BT billing agents, including 1 in Cardiff who really made me feel like I had been doing something wrong, and that it had nothing to do with BT whatsoever. At least the last fella I spoke to in Birmingham was bang on and hopefully he has been able to contact the right tech support people to find a solution now.
Sorry about the long winded post but seeing this is a constantly recurring problem I was wondering how others who had this same issue managed to get it sorted in the end?
Hi @Chasloyal,
I am so sorry that you can't manage your account the way you are supposed to. I have sent you a private message so we can get this sorted for you.
Thanks
DanielS
