I’m trying to get free Btwifi hotspots as I’m a Bt Broadband customer. How do I get it for free
Solved! Go to Solution.
There is no longer a BTWifi app or BTWifi.
It is now called EEWifi.
You now must manually connect to the EEWifi signal and then log on to it on a web browser using your BTID and password.
See link
Since BT wifi hotspots have migrated to EE, I am no longer able to log onto free wifi from EE. I put in the correct user name and BT password but it always says there is an error (either user name or password). However, I am inputting the correct info (I have no problem logging on to BT). What is going on.
Hi @MrPort.
Welcome back to the Community!
Just to be sure, are you selecting the right account type when prompted to log in (EE Broadband, BT Broadband, or BT Business)?
If you haven't already I'd recommend trying a password reset, too.

Hi there @redls
Thanks for coming back to the community.
Once you have connected to a WiFi Hotspot, and you select the 'log in now' option, do you have BT Broadband account and BT Business Broadband account showing?
Leanne.
Sorry Leanne, either I did not explain myself fully (not unusual) or I am doing something very wrong again, not unusual.
We (my husband is the BT account holder, but hates the insistance on using apps etc, so I have to things for him). We upgraded to 'full fibre' with Halo 3, which means we not only have Home phone and landline for him and the internet for me. I was recently away for the weekend and when I left home I discovered that my Xiaomi phone from 3 was not allowing me to access the internet, nor was my tablet which I had with me... both of which had previously had no such problem, indeed it was hard to stop EE grabbing the mobile even when I was in the house and the phone was attached to my home network, as are all my devices, again with no issues. However, I was able to access the internet in the hotel so was willing to manage and sort it out when I got home.
Unfortunately the phone gave up the ghost and I had to call in at 3 (They have a physical store locally which is so much easier) for help. They were keen to give me Broadband too, but we have been with BT for over 50 years and that is how my husband wants it). So I now have a nice new Samsung A16 but when I downloaded My BT and tried to access BT Wi-Fi I was told to download the app from Google but Google has no such app! It would be nice to have to real help, but the way things are done now, it makes it very hard. I even called in at the local EE/BT store and even they could not help!
Apologies for such a lengthy post, but it might make it easier to understand my problems.
Are you sure there is an EEWifi app and not just an EE Broadband app which is similar to the MyBT app which is for the management of your EE account.
You need to log onto EEwifi as I mentioned in my earlier post.
