Switching BT protect from McAfee to Norton

I tried to switch my BT Protect from McAfee to Norton via BT.com letting the Norton tool remove my existing McAfee antivirus. The Norton tool showed me a screen with two McAfee programmes unable to be removed. I then tried manually removing the programmes  via the control panel without success. I have windows 10 pro and I could attempt to remove the app via the settings option but I am worried that all McAfee files may not be removed before trying to install Norton. Has anyone used the McAfee tool MCPR to removed McAfee altogether before installing Norton?

i would suggest that you do use the McAfee MCPR to remove all the rubbish that uninstalling McAfee leaves behind. After using that make sure that you restart your computer before installing Norton.
