Re: Picture Issues

OK @Tel2 so the other suggestion was to remove the cable and try WiFi.  Have you tried that?

Re: Picture Issues

If EETV want to prove in these cases that it’s the customer’s WiFi at fault (WiFi usually from a BT/EE router, but let that pass) then they should perhaps have a service that provides for long enough Ethernet cables, returnable, to be sent out for affected customers to test with.

Problem then though, is either the pixelation will stop, over direct Ethernet, or it won’t.

Either way, then what? 😛

Re: Picture Issues

We're not talking Wifi here @Midnight_Voice - we're talking Powerline Adapters, which put it completely at the mercy of the internal wiring of the house (and every device that is connected to it).  If it were just Wifi, then BT/EE offer options for that.

Re: Picture Issues

My Broadband speed is c. 350,should be 500, & the TV screen Pixalates on every channel.
BT are sending me a new Router tomorrow.
Seams logical to me & ,again, thank you for your expertise which I NEVER ignore.
I will let you know if this is the solution.

Re: Picture Issues

Even at a broadband speed of 44Mbps, you should still never see pixelation. A replacement router is unlikely to fix anything, but I have been proven wrong before. Good luck.

Re: Picture Issues

Out of the blue BT has transferred my BT Account to EE & forgot the negotiated discount etc.

A young BT lady is dealing with the 24mnth. Contract & a Manager is ringing later this week about about the Monies due from the BT Swithing Team & my 2 Issues.

Re: Picture Issues

Intrestingly, there are no Pixalation  Incidents on Recordings &/or iPlayer & ITV X.

The screen went black twice watching the One Show.
