Re: Subtitles

Hi @Lizanne56, welcome to the community and thanks for posting, what app are you trying to get subtitles on? Each app has its own method to turn them on usually within the app settings. This link shows you how to activate the Netflix subtitle instructions

We have noticed that the NOW app does not always provide subtitles on all channels. This is not a fault.

We’re working to deliver subtitles in the NOW app as soon as we can.

Thanks

Neil

Re: Subtitles

I am also desperate to get Subtitles back on NOW TV & Netflix, as I'm cognitively impaired & sometimes feel very deaf and they help me relax and not miss anything in the shows.

Re: Subtitles

Hi @lucyloua321  Thanks for posting, the link I posted above shows how you can turn on the subtitles when using the Netflix app on BT TV. I'm afraid there has been no change with regards to the Now app however where available the Now channels through the EPG on BT TV will display subtitles if you turn them on using the remote.

When viewing channels through the EPG. You can easily turn subtitles on or off by pressing the [SUB] button on your remote control. Or if you have the TV Box Pro, press the MORE button (top right hand button with three horizontal lines on) and then go to the Subtitles menu.

Thanks

Neil

Re: Subtitles

As the years go by

“We’re working to deliver subtitles in the NOW app as soon as we can.”

is not very reassuring. We have flagship BT TV boxes that seem to be being held back by incompatibility between NOW and Youview over subtitling formats.  Is there any likiehood of any resolution and who is driving this accessibllity need from the BT side ?

Re: Subtitles

Been a year plus since that reply from NeilO!   Where is the subtitles fix?   BT or is EE is not really trying!

Re: Subtitles

Almost two years later and no "fix".    BT is not trying, is it?

Re: Subtitles

@james77 Can you please clarify exactly which subtitles you are referring to. As far as NOW programmes on the Pro tv box are concerned, subtitles are available via the EPG channels, the live channels on the NOW app and the catch up programmes on the NOW app. Can you please give an example of something which does not have subtitles.
