Re: T4000 Fault causing Power-Down ...

They are both the same model box T4000. It happens with both recorded programmes and live ones. This is usually if the fast forward is repeatedly used. It is more prevalent when using step forwarded. I happened six times in succession the other day. I’m almost ready to abandon the box altogether. I’ve been with BTTV since its early days without any problem until now.

Watching programmes days later. ITV HD and Sky Arts.  You press the button to skip forward and you get a fraction of a second on noise and a sound from the hard drive.  Then you switch the box back on an you get all the Youview screens like you would after a full restart.

Hi @welshgit

I am sorry this is still occurring, I would advise getting back in touch with our technical support guides and they will run through some troubleshooting with you to see what the next steps will be to get this sorted.

sorry if this sounds like a rant ,its not its just my observation .....the only way a replacement box will work correctly during the day  is by not connecting to the internet over night or turning it off at the back to stop it from doing automatic updates . its a firmware problem . i have already tried all the resets with the last guy but all to no avail . Why he thought a bb reset would make any difference i have no idea
